Halifax 2014 International Bid Budget Revenue and Expense Report

Halifax, NS, April 25, 2007 – Halifax 2014 today released preliminary unaudited results of its international bid budget revenues and expenses for the period of December 15, 2005 to April 15, 2007.

In November of 2006, Halifax 2014 announced its international bid budget of $14,310,200. The budget included revenue from several sources including corporate and business contributions, as well as $10,000,000 of public funding from Halifax 2014’s primary funding partners, the federal, provincial and municipal governments.

As of April 15, 2007 actual expenses by Halifax 2014 totaled $7,529,224.

Recognizing the need to complete the Society’s business efficiently and within the available funding from government partners, Halifax 2014 is continuing with the wrap up of its operations and is now moving into the audit phase. Complete audited results are expected to be released by mid summer 2007. The final audited results will include detail of all expenditures by Halifax 2014 up to and including the final date of operations.
